Discover the ultimate 5-ingredient brownies that are rich, fudgy, and incredibly easy to make. These brownies feature a perfect balance of sweetness and chocolate flavor, making them an irresistible dessert for any occasion. With just sugar, eggs, butter, cocoa powder, and flour, you can create a delicious treat that everyone will love. Whether you’re hosting a gathering or craving a sweet snack, these brownies are sure to impress.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups granulated sugar (420 grams)
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 cup salted butter, melted (226 grams)
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder (62 grams)
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (98 grams)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, but recommended)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch metal baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Mix the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and eggs. Use an electric mixer on high speed to beat the mixture for 3-4 minutes until the sugar is mostly dissolved and the mixture feels smooth. Stir in the melted butter and vanilla extract, if using.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: Gently fold in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until you achieve a thick batter. For an extra chocolatey treat, consider adding 1 cup of chocolate chips at this stage.
  4. Bake the Brownies: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 33-38 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with thick, moist crumbs (not wet batter). Keep an eye on the edges; a toothpick inserted there should come out mostly clean. Remember, the brownies will firm up as they cool, so avoid overbaking.
  5. Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 1 hour before slicing. They are delicious warm, but cutting too soon may result in a messy appearance. Store cooled brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days.

Enjoy these rich, fudgy brownies that come together with just five simple ingredients! Perfect for satisfying your chocolate cravings anytime.
