    • Directions

Ingredients:

For the Broccoli:

  • 1 pound raw broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 cup water

For the Lemon Butter Sauce (Optional):

  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 large pinch salt

Instructions:

  1. Place a steamer basket in the bottom of the Instant Pot. Add broccoli florets and pour in the water.
  2. Secure the lid on the Instant Pot and set the vent to the Sealing position. Select Manual Low Pressure and set the time to 0 (zero) minutes.
    • Note: If your broccoli is particularly large or very firm, you can use Manual High Pressure for 0 (zero) minutes. However, Low Pressure is ideal for perfectly tender broccoli without overcooking.
  3. While the Instant Pot comes to pressure, prepare the lemon butter sauce. In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the lemon juice and salt until fully combined. Set aside.
  4. When the cooking cycle ends, immediately Quick Release the pressure by carefully turning the steam valve to the Venting position.
  5. Remove the lid, being cautious of any remaining steam. If using High Pressure, you may want to run cold water over the broccoli in the steamer basket to halt further cooking.
  6. Shake the broccoli dry and serve warm. Drizzle with the prepared lemon butter sauce for a burst of flavor.
