Ingredients:

  • 1 (20 oz) container of refrigerated or frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (24 oz) jar of pasta sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • 1-2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated or shredded parmesan cheese
  • Seasonings to taste (salt, garlic powder, black pepper, Italian seasoning)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Tortellini: Prepare the tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with your preferred seasonings. Remove any excess grease.
  4. Prepare the Sauce: Add the pasta sauce and cubed cream cheese to the skillet with the beef. Simmer until the sauce is smooth and well-mixed.
  5. Combine Tortellini & Sauce: Gently toss the cooked tortellini with the meat sauce until evenly coated.
  6. Assemble the Casserole: Transfer the tortellini mixture to your prepared baking dish. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and parmesan evenly over the top.
  7. Bake: Bake uncovered on the center oven rack for 20 minutes.
  8. Broil: Switch to broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
  9. Serve: Enjoy on its own or pair with a salad, vegetables, or garlic bread!
