Easy Breakfast Cheese Danish

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white

For the Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13×9-inch baking pan.
  2. Unroll one can of crescent rolls and press the seams together to form a solid sheet of dough. Place it in the prepared baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough in the baking pan.
  5. Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and carefully place it on top of the cream cheese layer. Gently press the seams together.
  6. Lightly brush the top of the crescent roll layer with the egg white for a golden finish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the top is beautifully golden brown.
  8. Allow the danish to cool for about 20 minutes.

For the Glaze:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until you have a smooth glaze.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over the slightly cooled danish.
  3. Once the glaze has set, cut the danish into servings and enjoy your delicious and easy breakfast cheese danish!
