Easy Beef Bowls

Transform your weeknight dinners with these easy and delicious beef bowls! This quick, Asian-inspired recipe is ready in about 30 minutes, making it perfect for busy evenings. Packed with savory flavors, tender beef, and a hint of sweetness, these beef bowls are sure to become a family favorite. Try this simple and satisfying meal tonight!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup uncooked white jasmine rice
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • Garnish (optional): scallions, sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Cook the jasmine rice according to package directions.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through (about 8-10 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in brown sugar, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sriracha, ginger, and garlic.
  4. Return the skillet to medium heat. Add chopped red bell pepper and cook for a few minutes until tender-crisp, stirring frequently.
  5. Serve the beef mixture over cooked rice. Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes:

  • Freeze whole ginger for easier grating. Use a Microplane for best results.
  • Adjust sriracha to taste or omit if preferred.
