Ingredients

  • 2 lemons, thinly sliced into rounds
  • 1 lb Mahi Mahi fillets
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

This Baked Mahi Mahi is flavorful, tender, and so easy to make! With a blend of spices and buttery lemon, each bite is light yet satisfying. The simple preparation and short cook time make it perfect for busy weeknights, while the vibrant presentation is great for entertaining.

Tips

  • Lemon Bed: Placing the fish on lemon slices infuses a subtle citrus flavor and prevents sticking.
  • Butter Substitute: Use olive oil instead of butter if you prefer.
  • Broiling: Keep a close eye on the fish during broiling to prevent overcooking.

Variations and Substitutions

  • Herbs: Try fresh rosemary or dill instead of parsley for a different herb flavor.
  • Spices: Add a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper for extra depth.
  • Fish: Substitute Mahi Mahi with cod, halibut, or any mild white fish.

FAQs

  • Can I use frozen Mahi Mahi? Yes, just be sure to thaw and pat it dry before cooking.
  • How do I know when the fish is done? The fish should flake easily with a fork and appear opaque.
  • Can I skip the broiling step? Yes, though broiling adds a nice golden color to the fish.

Serving Suggestions

Pair this Baked Mahi Mahi with a side of roasted vegetables, quinoa, or a light green salad. For a heartier meal, serve with garlic mashed potatoes or rice pilaf.
